About
Scottie
My cartooning started back in 1995, drawing cartoons about all the
funny things that happened at work. Then displaying them on the
lunchroom notice board. Over the years I developed more skills and in
1999 thought it was time to take my drawing to another level.
Since the start of 2000 I have been drawing for the New Zealand Fire
Service’s “Star” magazine, St John Ambulance’s monthly newsletter and
Auckland Airports fortnightly newsletter. Just recently started a little
freelancing.
At this stage of my cartooning career it’s still very much a hobby,
although it takes up a lot of my time.
Most of the cartoons on this site are personalized to a service or place.
I have included brief histories for each so you can enjoy the humor. I
have started a New Zealand current affairs weekly gag and I also have
a comic strip being developed and will be on this site soon.
I live in Pakaraka which is in the Bay of Islands, in the North Island of
New Zealand and work
for the Rescue Fire Service at Auckland International Airport. I have
worked at Rescue Fire since 1992.
